Supply chain management is crucial to the business performance. As China has become a major market as well as world factory, China business related supply chain issues is getting more and more attention.

Parties from different industries and different countries and cultural background are involved in a typical supply chain, making the supply chain management challenging and evolving. Our strong background and experience in both China and the U.S. grant us a preferable position in providing cross-functional services in supply chain management.

Supply chain management covers the whole range of process from raw material supply, production, logistics, delivery to final customer, and after-sale-service. Our relevant experiences would help you with the following.

Detail:

  • Identify areas of improvement in streamline operation and cost reduction in the supply chain.
We have developed insight about issues that cause the problems in the supply chain operation. We can quickly pinpoint many of these problems just out of our direct past lessons and experiences. Mayor problems come with the cross-nation and cross-culture attributes that pertain to the supply chain management. As the emerging major economic power, China is so different compared to the rest of the world, in political and economic environment, as well as business culture and practice. These make the communication and coordination challenges when doing business in/with China. In most cases, problems come from the obstacles related to communication and coordination, in many different forms.

  • Review the performance of shipper, forwarder, broker and other parties in the supply chain and examine alternatives.
Our combined experiences as supplier, shipper, buyer, consignee, forwarder and Customs broker give us good understanding of the internal system and environment of different parties inv loved in a supply chain. We are able to tell if a good internal system has been established in a forwarder, in terms of effectiveness and efficiency of management, communication, planning and monitoring. Especially for the parties in China.
  • Act as cross-functional unit in coordinating all parties in the supply chain.
Now-a-days, a transportation company is far from enough to satisfy the need of supply chain management. A cross-functional unit is necessary to work with all parties involves from raw material supply to final delivery to the customer. Our combined experiences as supplier, shipper, buyer, consignee, forwarder and Customs broker let us understand each party from its own perspective. Plus we excel in communication in the cross-nation, cross-industry and cross-culture environment.

Besides coordinating different parties across the supply chain, we are able to help in coordinating the internal communication within a party. This is very important to help Chinese vendors and distributors to meet the compliance of international trade practices. Also we have an interesting finding that European companies follow the international trade practice better than the U.S.

  • Work out SOP (Standard Operation Procedure) for each party in the supply chain, and implement it.
The complexity of supply chain management requires all parties involved to accept common protocols. Deep understanding of operations of each individual are crucial to develop a workable standard operation procedure. Implementing the SOP is another challenge for different parties that have different interest drive.

More importantly, implementation can not just started with. Close understanding of the needs and capabilities of each party and communication has to be in place before even start to compose the SOP. Obstacles to a standard protocol can be caused by different interest drive, or, can even be caused by personality or interest of a single person in a party. For our previous works in the SOPs, we can foresee most of the issues, so that we can handle these issues in the most preferable way, plus our excellent ability in communication and coordination, we can work out the best achievable SOP for your supply chain management.

  • Take roles in distributor/vendor management, PO management and shipping management.
Roles in these areas could come easily and naturally when after the process of tasks mentioned above, as the biggest obstacles of communication and coordination would have been overcome. With practical SOP in place, a system of planning, tracking and monitoring need to established for each distributor or vendor. Advanced internet based database system and EDI system should be set up for this purpose.
  • Develop auto documents and EDI application.
We have been developing practical applications for shippers, suppliers, forwarders, and consignees based on an Internet based EDI system called Navegate - www.navegate.com.

Companies simply can't afford to connect directly to each of their supply chain members. As a middle ware, integration to Navegate connects you to all of your trading partners. Once connected you have complete supply chain visualization. No lost orders, no lost documents and no lost shipments. Integration is very inexpensive and easily done to any existing back office or, Navegate can act as a stand alone system.
